#TheNewGrocer Series: Lucy Sparrow makes everyday objects into whimsical felt art
This post is a part of our #TheNewGrocer Series, where we explore creators re-imagining what βthe grocery storeβ can be.
π¦ We're in our feelings about this one: Contemporary British Artist Lucy Sparrow has charmed us from the UK and Shanghai, to New York and Miami, re-creating a bevy of household items hand-stitched entirely out of felt. Upon entering a Sparrow Exhibition, youβll be delighted to see familiar favorites captured in soft, fluffy felt.
π Chemist Shops, Corner Shops and Produce Stands have all received the Sparrow treatment. We love the charm and whimsy she's injected into {these now collectible} everyday objects.
Adorable shellfish, peppy produce, realistic sweets, charming cheese and baby baguettes - Lucyβs imaginative take on beloved favorites is a crowd pleaser - with exhibitions capturing crowds in the states, and abroad, this is one artist we canβt get enough of.
